Thanks. Was considering buying HD8, but wonder what its battery life is, in comparison to 7.
A quick check on Amazon's site says the 2022 Fire 7 has a 10 hour battery life (a Fire HD 7 hasn't existed since 2014 if I remember correctly) and has a rather pathetic 1024 x 600 display. The 2022 Fire HD 8 has a 13 hour battery life and an almost equally pathetic 1280 x 800 display.

Please note that those battery life claims are made by Amazon so drop 3-4 hours minimum for real world use.

Oddly, Amazon publishes these specifications on their web page and they can be found in quite a few places elsewhere for the price of an internet search.
