Perhaps a quick Google/DuckDuckGo/Bing/whatever search on dogpiling? Basically just means a bunch of people jumping in on top of a person/persons.

In this case, when you see a message such as "I've kept my calibre library in <fill in the cloud/NAS/nonlocal storage of your choice> for years and suddenly I'm getting errors.", you will probably see messages in reply pointing to the calibre and SQLite FAQs on storing the database on the network.
