So today's Kindle Chronicles podcast (
http://www.thekindlechronicles.com/2...accessibility/) Len Edgerley interviews Amazon's Accessibility Architect and they discussed Kindle VoiceView and accessibility generally at length.
One of the things that came out is that Ivona requires 512MB RAM (or at least 256MB is insufficient). As far as I can make out the Kindle (7th generation) has only 256MB. So it will not get VoiceView, and neither will Paperwhite 2, which also only has 256MB. Presumably the forthcoming replacement for K7 ('Woody') will have the necessary resources, and will run VoiceView.
