The nice think about the Kobo Touch is that you can just change it to whatever font you like.

The Kindle doesn't have a heavier font, but it does have a font which is precisely optimized for the characteristics of the eInk screen, so that all the letter shapes are crisp and precise. That's why it looks sharper.
