not odd at all -- i greatly prefer the light weight of the K3 which is one of the reasons i chose it.
but that $89 deal is pretty sweet. had that been available to me, i might have picked the nook. as someone has already mentioned, none of these ereaders is perfect and the technology changes so rapidly that anything bought now should be considered the first of several, not the one and only.
